  5. The UNICODE General Ledger provides for the management of a chart of accounts
  6. and multiple journal entry types.  A unique on-screen account activity inquiry
  7. is provided.  Entries can be made into multiple periods, including those that
  8. have been closed.  Provision has been made for transmission of general ledger
  9. data from remote systems to a central general ledger on the bases of automatic
  10. polling or manuals request.  Utilities for exporting general ledger data to
  11. other outside programs are also included.  The automatic auditing features
  12. make tracking down discrepancies much easier.  Other features include
  13. budgeting, recurring journal entry, automatic accrual reversal, and text
  14. processing for journal entries.  If purchased with the financial reports
  15. module, standard financial statements and schedules can be made easily.
